Look up

'Look up and remember' From Colour Contrast Continuity
Look up into the sunlight but remember that the water of life must also fall from the sky.

The Return

'The Return' From Colour Contrast Continuity
Older that the grass below or the trees above the fern returns to claim a place on earth under the changing skies.

Did you say Walk?

Can't you see I am born to fly and swim?

'Did you say walk' From Colour Contrast Continuity

You walk by while I rest,

And choose when to swim or fly.

You walk by while I stand,

And silence will echo my cry.

From Me to You

'Hover before commiting to a landing' From Colour Contrast Continuity

'With Love' From Colour Contrast Continuity

If I had wings I would sing with the beat they made on a fragrant air that holds music within every wave that carries light to illuminate the world.

Ringing Changes to the Old

I am forced through circumstances beyond my control to search not only my mind for words but also my computer for photographs to accompany them.
While I am unable to take any more photographs I have decided to run a different theme on this blog.
Each photograph retrieved from my computer will be accompanied by a few words that will hopefully bring continuity to the colour and contrast.
If any photograph inspires more than a few words it will appear on Visual Counterpoint.
Please note these are all photographs previously taken and rejected!
But beggars cannot be choosers!

Silence is Golden

Please see Home ~ the Journey for the reason that I cannot post any new photographs.
This will probably severely restrict my entry into any photographic challenges.
I am facing a greater challenge in my life at the moment and intend to meet it head-on.

Ellipsis Monday Photo Shoot
Carly has asked us to show her some LAYERS this week and how they go together to create something different. Please follow the link to join in and view other entries.
Carly gives the example of an onion in her quote.

“Not everybody likes onions!
Cake! Everybody likes cake!
Cake has layers!
Parfait may be the most delicious thing in the world!”
Donkey. Shrek.

The two photographs I chose had both failed to capture what my mind saw when I stood on the Heights over Delamere Forest in Cheshire, England. My eyes had taken in more than one view and my mind had combined them. So I went to Photoshop and combined them in layers and named the resulting picture ‘Parfait’.

Layer One
~ A sky to die under

'A Sky To Die Under' From Colour Contrast Continuity

Layer Two
~A way to go
'A Way To Go' From Colour Contrast Continuity

'Parfait' From Colour Contrast Continuity

…Because it 'perfectly' combines the two.

Happiness is coloured yellow

I wondered whether to post this on Visual Counterpoint or here.
The song I have written holds a picture that I want to be seen with my photographs.
No picture can stand alone and needs the thought that it inspires to live.
I hope my photographs inspire you.

This is my entry for Ellipsis Monday Photo Shoot

Please follow the link to join in and view other entries.

Carly has asked us for one word and a photograph of the colour that word conjures in our mind.
I could only think of my favourite colour first and then the one word it holds for me is

Happiness is coloured yellow for the sun,
That shines and gives life to every day,
And casts shadows that hold night’s fun,
So every moment ever loved can stay,
Recorded in every colour light can hold,
White withholds nought and shows the way,
On a brick road with a dream so bold,
It carries the time that will soon unfold.

From Home~the Journey

Happiness is in the journey and when we find it we find our home.

'Slow to bloom' From Colour Contrast Continuity

Happiness is sometimes slow to bloom,
And many steps are made along the road,
Before we understand there must be room
For rest, so wisdom can carry the load,
And release thought that like smoke will rise,
With a signal that lives within life’s code,
And carry the multitude of cries,
That only silence could ever devise.

Happiness has to be nurtured like a flower for it to bloom.

From Colour Contrast Continuity

Happiness overspills a moment with tears of joy,
No one who has ever cried this water of life,
Can forget the power that emotions employ,
To conquer every lasting restraining strife,
Enter time held breathless between earth and sky,
And see beyond the horizon for a wife,
That will wait as long as time rushes by,
And sing only of love on the waves of a sigh.

Happiness holds every tear ever shed for the future.

This poem is linked to one I have already posted on Visual Counterpoint.
It originally started as subsequent verses to the first verse here but it grew away from the main theme and like a river ran to the sea to become a separate song.
I then wrote the second and third verses for this song.

No more or less than the truth

I have written words only for them to be erased by a computer.
I have tried to comment only to be frozen out by a computer.
I have tried to communicate only to be thwarted by a computer.

I am computer illiterate.

I do not have the energy to keep fighting the barriers that constantly rise to stop me.

I will not be trying again.

It is not as if I had anything to say worth reading.
My whole life is a failure of communication.

My last effort to enter Ellipsis Monday Photo Shoot took over an hour to compose and was ‘lost’ in a second by a computer that I would gladly kick into oblivion.

Don’t tell me to keep trying.
I have had more than enough of that.

There is no time like the present
