Carly has asked us for photographs showing autumn and will not accept archived entries. This caused me some trepidation as carrying the camera causes me increased pain. At first I thought I would just photograph my hanging basket, but then I knew I could never be satisfied with that.

I planted my winter hanging basket to ‘gain on the swing’ ‘autumnal fire’.
The cyclamen will hopefully flower for many months and warm the entrance to my home and the winter violas will produce many different faces to give a smile to any visitor when they have been given time to grow...

I took my camera out with me this morning for the first time in many weeks.
I was determined to take photographs that would show nature always beats any attempt of mine to organise the decoration for the season.

Autumnal light shows the canal path I walk with my dogs every morning and where I found the other pictures to photograph except the nuts of the Hazel tree that grows beside the road I have to walk along in order to gain the relative peace I find beside the water.

I do not have a dedicated macro lens.

I cropped and enlarged the photographs using photoshop. All were taken with my Canon 20D using a Tamron 18-270mm lens.

Blogger seems to have recropped my photos. I have no idea why this has happened, as I have loaded them from picassa in the same way I have always done at the same size that has always appeared in total before.

Ringing Changes to the Old

I am forced through circumstances beyond my control to search not only my mind for words but also my computer for photographs to accompany them.
While I am unable to take any more photographs I have decided to run a different theme on this blog.
Each photograph retrieved from my computer will be accompanied by a few words that will hopefully bring continuity to the colour and contrast.
If any photograph inspires more than a few words it will appear on Visual Counterpoint.
